The restaurant was founded in 1978. Earlier, since 1952, in the same place was an old inn, providing snacks and lunches based on bread, piada, meats, anchovies and good sangiovese. Since 1978, Mrs. Elvira, mother of the current owner, after twenty years of experience as a cook in Riviera hotels, decided to get in proper and offer its experience inland. In 1984 the inn, located at Molino Renzini (the place takes its name from the old watermill family Renzini, today became farmhouse), is transformed into a real restaurant, while maintaining the same location. The activity is still alive today, and the host find, his arrival at, an historical and traditional restaurant, extended however modern thanks to a wooden porch and a large outdoor barbecue. Today Mrs. Elvira work still, and his son and owner Armando too, with Manuela nephew who is dealing with the homemade pasta and the wife of the owner Altagrazia, involved in the hall. The kitchen is seasonal and home made. According to seasonal products, during winter we offer wood animal sauces, during spring on seasonal vegetables based sauces and during autumn we offer you mushrooms and truffles too. The meat, selected from local producers, is cooked in a wood oven, is poultry and beef. We suggest our famous grilled "fiorentina" beef. For those who want an alternative to traditional dishes, we also offer pizza, cooked in wood-fired oven. |
